Hi, in MeSH, there is an option "Do not include MeSH terms found below this term in the MeSH hierarchy." do not choose this one. Sometimes in PubMed, you can use "*", for example, "depress*" will include "depression", "depressive" and "depressed" etc.

Particularly in EMBASE, there is a choice of "Extensive search (mapping, explosion, as keyword)", choose this one.

Overall, the principle is to get more and comprehensive searches.
