2 Research Assistants based in Shenzhen, COMDIS Health Service Delivery Research

COMDIS Health Service Delivery Research Consortium (COMDIS HSD) is a six-year programme (2011-16) funded by the UK Department for International Development. COMDIS HSD is led by the University of Leeds Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development, to conduct high quality research on the delivery of health services (including care and/or control of communicable and non-communicable diseases) in low and middle income countries. In China, COMDIS HSD works on a variety of issues related to cardiovascular disease(CVD), Tuberculosis (TB) and multi-drug resistant TB (MDR-TB), antibiotics use, service delivery and primary health care. The ongoing projects include a clustered-based randomised controlled trial of CVD risk management in primary healthcare in rural Zhejiang, and a project of improving rational use of antibiotics in primary healthcare in Guangxi.

COMDIS HSD China is now seeking 2 research assistants to support its research and development in China. The position will be based in Shenzhen, China and supervised by the China Programme Director and Programme Manager.

" \: U  f2 l0 J5 M+ Z3 \* W• Contributing to designing new research projects, and drafting proposals for internal and external funding application;
) u! {/ X0 m9 ?' {• Developing research tools, and conducting data collection, implementation and monitoring of research projects;
• Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data;
1 s6 F2 a; y% {0 U. n• Drafting research reports and research papers for internationally peer-reviewed journals;
• Other assignments as required;

• Masters' degree in the field of public health and related health sciences;
& ~, D7 q3 ~2 P• Advanced knowledge in epidemiology and research design; experience in qualitative study is preferred;
% m) X& L6 n2 H, Z9 K+ Z& c• Broad knowledge of China disease control, service delivery, primary care and health systems is highly preferred;
• Able to be fluent in speaking and writing both English and Chinese;
• Skillful of common office software such as word, excel, power point.
• Good organizational skills, loyalty, flexibility, self-starter, precision, accuracy, and team spirit;

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
