KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

7 F7 _9 w; r' G- fProvide Epidemiology data on Asia-Pacific/China diseases:
- Provide up to date epidemiology knowledge to internal and external customers.
) U0 |* }! n8 @$ z' [/ w3 [- Lead the design, implementation, ongoing update and interpretation of a comprehensive epidemiology database for China and Asia Pacific Region for the unmet medical need detection and monitoring, focusing on western diseases, AP/China specific diseases and emerging diseases worldwide and in AP/China.
- y4 t6 z/ R1 i0 ]7 w; u- Lead the design, implementation and reporting of epidemiology studies sponsored by the company through collaboration with external epidemiology community and corporate network. Provide epidemiology support to real world outcome study design and data interpretation.

Provide strategic projection or proposal from epidemiology perspective on unmet medical needs in AP/China:
, f4 c. y1 _! v9 Q3 t- Provide strategic projection or proposal on major AP/China disease evolvement.
- Provide strategic epidemiology input to medical plan, clinical development plan and risk management plan as required, to optimise product value. Actively participate in cross-functional collaboration – including medical excellence, pharmacovigillance, regulatory, clinical operations, R&D, marketing, sales and government affairs – to support integrated plans across these functions.

) ]  @0 O1 J& |8 D2 s, ]/ jEffectively engage and collaborate with key opinion leaders and academic associations related to epidemiology:
* ]5 O$ m' x; }5 u9 C- Develop and maintain permanent relations with a network of opinion leaders and experts in the epidemiology area globally and in China or AP region in order to maintain and reinforce the scientific position of the Group

Effectively communicate on epidemiology related topics to external key stakeholders:
, S3 p7 |/ Y1 l* A2 P! k- Effectively communicate with external key stakeholders e.g. health authority, academic associations, key opinion leaders, etc, on epidemiology related topics on behalf of the company

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
1 N% ~# g) K+ n2 ~3 y
Education:                      
- ~; V- F% f2 \" K$ d8 MMD, Master or PhD with Epidemiology training background

Experience & knowledge:  
-        In depth knowledge and extensive experience of epidemiology including data sources for epidemiological study, study design, data collection, data analysis, and presentation of results.
-        Knowledge of statistics.
-        Demonstrated ability to formulate an investigative plan in epidemiology.
-        Proven capability of communicating epidemiology data to health care authority or key opinion leaders.
-        Previous industry experience is desirable
