国外杂志是如何控制文章质量，保证影响因子持续上升

Antioxidants & Redox Signaling (ARS) 这个杂志从1999年创刊以来，从开始的只发表综述的双月刊，到现在开始接收论著的单月刊，影响因子从2004年3.027猛进到现在的7.581。目前该杂志已经取代Free Radical Biology and Medicine 成为氧化应激领域研究的老大。

几个月前向该杂志投了一篇综述和一篇论著，其中论著史无前例的碰到了6个审稿人，由于每个评委的口味和出发点不一样，部分意见也是苛刻，艰难返修中。

Antioxidants & Redox Signaling (ARS) has now established itself as the number one journal in its discipline. It has led the impact factor list, head and shoulders above competition, for three consecutive years. This was made possible by our extraordinary reviewers who enable us to reach a first decision within three weeks of submission; by our authors who choose ARS to report their best works and by our readers who hold us in such high esteem that is reflected by citation data.

The Journal has several unique features. First, its Comprehensive Invited Reviews are authoritative articles with extraordinary didactic value（请大牛来写综述）. These articles are reviewed by 6-10 top experts who are then named on the article.论著需要经过6-10个评委过堂 ARS introduced the Redox Pioneer series. If you have published at least one article on redox that has been cited over 1,000 times and ten that have been cited over 100 times, the Journal puts your face on the cover and publishes a short article on you that helps the rising stars know who you are and what made you great（如果你在该领域某篇文章引用次数超过1000次，你将在封面介绍）. ARS recognizes the need to pass on the legacy from today's leaders to the new generation who are looking forward to developing a career in redox biology and medicine. The Journal is also known for its Forum Issues dealing with specific themes helping address hot topics exhaustively by 6-10 major laboratories（专题形式，由该领域的6-10个主要实验室组稿）. Finally, the rapid News & Views publication track accepts extraordinary findings in less than one week（新闻和观点评论文章不能超过原始论著发表的一星期）.

Good science must be connected to impact on people's health. Therefore, on one hand ARS is upbeat about molecular and mechanistic studies. On the other hand, a major thrust area for the Journal is translational and clinical research. The field has been around for decades now, and it is time that we deliver solutions to people. This is the only way for this field to survive and thrive. Success stories will attract new talent to the field which in turn will grow the field.

Antioxidants & Redox Signaling was launched as a focused peer-reviewed journal in 1999. The Journal is fast growing; it received its first impact factor in 2004, opening 3.027. In 2005, the impact factor moved up to 3.763. In 2006, it was 4.232. In 2007, the Journal started getting published on a monthly basis and the impact factor increased to 4.491. Last year, the impact factor was 6.190, which has been elevated to 7.581 this year when ARS was published twice a month.

国际期刊常用的招

1、标准的界面和投稿系统。这种目前已经有专业的公司提供投稿系统的服务；可以直接出钱买服务。

2、引用方便。有的在检索页面，有的在论文中就直接给出了可以直接拷贝到自己论文中的引用，最大程度的方便引用。

3、设立论文奖或是下载、引用排行榜，其中论文奖是审稿的时候就由审稿人圈定是否推荐参与年度论文评奖，后两者可以根据在线统计数据实时更新（国内做了统计，在表现的方面差一步）。

4、设定每期的feature article或是封面故事。

5、刊物大量自引，虽然是歪门邪道，但效果显著。国际出版巨鳄旗下非主流期刊的经验表明，利用该方法，可以使影响因子在1年之中从0.6翻到1.7。

从论文作者姓名上就可以看得出来，其实国外有的非主流刊物也只能吸引到亚非拉的稿源。和国外的刊物比较，国内sci刊物的突出优势在于——中国数量庞大的科研人员，恐怕都已经相当于亚非拉发展中国家科研人员的总数了。其实国内刊物可以像腾讯公司的qq一样，别人怎么包装我们也怎么包装，别人来什么噱头我们也来什么噱头，只要吸引到国内的用户群体，至少都可以有一份自己的位置了。国内SCI刊物的问题是，很多在国内都已经是强势刊物。如果能利用和本国科研人员沟通顺畅的优势，少摆架子，加强服务意识，更多地从研究人员的角度去考虑，即便有的稿子投到国外去了，多引几个国内刊物的文章，也是一种帮助。抓到国内的部分稿源，把影响造上去一点以后，再到国外拉点专辑的客座主编做国际化，并不难。毕竟，国外的科研人员也会需要客座主编这种title的。
