This position will reside in the IMS China Beijing office. Provide expertise in analytic
( B* s) N# n* v3 F% X9 S5 H  ~methodologies to assigned projects for IMS US Statistical Studies and provide ongoing
analytic support for existing US Pharmaceutical Market Research Studies.
8 X5 V' B  e: w' v5 C  [; l Under supervision, provides statistical methodology support in the delivery of standard and custom studies.
0 d$ C' i$ r" E) R& l; e/ N Applies statistical design and methodology to meet client information needs, conducts statistical analyses to derive conclusions from the study and assists in preparing written summaries of study results.
 Assists other statisticians in preparing analysis plans and statistical reports and performs validation of statistical analysis.
/ A$ E# P+ J0 g/ \) }/ L( j, J Works on projects of moderate scope within defined procedures and practices.

! ^. ]1 Z/ {( U$ Y! b5 B9 D Typically requires a Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, Computer Sciences or related quantitative science degree. Or a Bachelors Degree with 2+ years of relevant professional business experience in market research, or applied statistics.
( q( y4 t5 ^4 P$ h Prior work experience or an internship that provided the opportunity to apply statistical methods is preferred.
4 Q( E2 q% }4 k5 r# O Statistical knowledge includes understanding of multivariate statistics, sampling methods, regression and forecasting.
4 {( w3 A! X! ^6 \$ X' g! @6 O Applied experience with SAS, SPSS or a structured programming language is required.
% [, c* e8 |! `7 g8 f Proficient in oral and written English: English Test Scores passing CET-6.
 Must be proficient in MS Office.

7 h$ U; q; o# j' vThis position will reside in the IMS China Beijing office. Provide statistical programming
' m$ T- Z" c" U4 H3 `support on market research projects and applications development.
* Y9 h  k- j5 `) r4 r" O Under minimal guidance, creates and executes SAS programs for market research studies of moderate to high complexity.
 Provides programming and analytical support on assigned research projects and custom studies.
 Develops SAS programs to explore/analyze data characteristics, and comparing and validating statistical projection methodologies.
 Requires innovative thinking on conceptual products and services, state-of-the-art statistical programming knowledge, and independent personal development in new technology. Develops and carries out test plans.
7 {, r; n. W' W$ q; F Develops complex, but efficient, SAS code combining data across time, and demonstrates a familiarity with and capability of programming statistical techniques.

 Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Life Sciences, or related field(s) and two to five years experience with large databases and systems.
 Experience programming in SAS (Base, STAT, Macro, SQL, ODS, etc.) on MVS and/or UNIX, NT and PC is required, SyncSort, internet programming and expertise with PC applications, particularly Excel or VB is a plus.
 Familiarity with implementation of statistical design and methodology is preferred. .
 Proficient in oral and written English.

 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
