Hi, everyone.

% R$ o: m/ J) a9 G. `0 m- S9 O: Q7 QI am currently analysing a huge data set from bacterial and archaeal 16S phylochips. I am thinking to calculate the shannon diversity or similar diversity index. However, I am not sure whether I should directly use hybescore from phylochips as relative abundance or convert them into 16S copy No. as abundance? The hybescore and log 16S copy number presents nice linear relationship. Any idea?
; L: f7 S8 G4 nAlso, the data set is not normally distributed. I am thinking to do an ordination for these data. I tried log10, loge and also squre root. None of them helped. Any idea for this?7 c0 x7 @& I2 u8 H( ]0 N3 Q5 F) H
